Liz Kresch was introduced to yoga as a child living across the street from what was then the Guru Ram Das Ashram in Brooklyn where she attended classes. Through many twists and turns she found herself back on a yoga mat having graduated from Sarah-Lawrence College with a B.A. in philosophy of religion & art.
Liz has maintained a dedicated yoga practice since 1996. Her teacher training was completed in early 2004 with Adrienne Burke and she has studied and practiced with teachers of great
merit throughout the city including Sri Pattabhi Jois and
Dharma Mittra.
She is certified in pilates mat and equipment through the Kane School of Core Integration. Her Wat Po Thai massage work, certified at the Pai Spa in Bangkok and the Swedish Institute as well as her bellydance work with Dunya McPherson and strong Buddhist meditation & practice discipline also inform her teaching.
Liz currently teaches in New York City and has taught at gyms, centers and spas in Miami, Seattle, Oregon and Mexico, as well as leading retreats in Costa Rica.
Liz is a member of the International Dance Exercise Association and a Yoga Alliance 500-hour certified instructor adhering to their ethical guidelines. CPR certified
